Claire D. and I stumbled upon this tiny Peruvian picanteria completely by chance, having just tried and failed to get into a packed Mildred’s (who are all these people who’re organised enough to book tables for lunch on a Saturday?). It turned out to be a real stroke of luck – Casita Andina may be small, but it’s perfectly formed, gorgeous inside and the food mouthwateringly delicious.
Mind you, if you do visit, make sure you order a good handful of the dishes on the menu – the portions are, shall we say, “healthy” sizes. Still chuckling now at the dismayed expression on Claire’s face when she realised that the miniature stew in front of her was, indeed, her main course…
